Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
Apple cinnamon oatmeal tastes so good that even the kids will be begging for more. Try this for an easy early morning breakfast or for a light evening supper.
Ingredients- 1 cup unsweetened apple juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 T. dried raisins
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup 1% milk
- 2 T. chopped walnuts
In a small saucepan, heat the apple juice, water, cinnamon, salt, and raisins until boiling. Stir in oats, lower the heat and cook five minutes, stirring occasionally. Heat the milk just to simmer. Pour the oatmeal into two bowls, top with the milk and sprinkle with walnuts. Serves 2.
