Apple Snack Chips:
Eating Smart For Good
Diabetic Health

Apple snack chips is a low-calorie easy treat which can be made right from your own kitchen for lunches, after school snacks or for a quick stand-by treat for your own diabetic health.

Ingredients

One serving : additional can be prepared for extra or a larger crowd

  • 1 large apple
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Wash and completely dry each apple.

Slice in even thin slices on a food grater or other food slicer.Do not worry about seeding in advance, they will fall out after slicing.

Spread parchment paper on cookie sheet to outer edges. Lay apple slices in a single layer. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in pre-heated oven for 2 1/2 hours until dried. Cool and pack in airtight containers. Do not refrigerate.

1 apple= 120 calories, 1gr fat, 0gr saturated fat, 0 mg cholesterol, 1mg sodium, 30gr carbs, 6gr fiber
