What Is A Diabetes ComplicationBoth types of diabetes, whether it is type 1 or type 2, do have their own possible risks associated with them. All of this must be covered in detail with your health care team. So in its continually advancing stages, expect to see some of the following signs: - Heart Disease/Increased Risk Of Heart Attack: there is a long list of symptoms you may notice, but usually only one or two of these signs will actually be felt or seen. Often the symptoms may be steady for approximately 5 minutes or could come and go. Women though often show a different set of symptoms or possibly nothing very noticeable at all
- pain in the chest area which spreads into the left arm, shoulder and jaw
- chest tightness or pressure
- stomach pain
- indigestion
- shortness of breath
- nausea and vomiting
- cold sweats

If any of these signs last longer than 5 minutes call 911 immediately. Another safety precaution, keep a bottle of uncoated adult aspirin in your house or crush regular aspirin and place in water.
