Diabetic Drink Recipes

Thirst Quenching Drinks
For Diabetic Health

All naturally sweetened diabetic drink recipes often do not need to rely on any added sweetener because many fresh fruits and some vegetables are already sweetened by mother nature. With a few quick ingredients, a blender, and some imagination- a refreshing breakfast, lunch, bedtime snack or a "to beat the heat" beverage can be whipped up to please any palette and still retain good diabetic health.

Also, if you happen to be one of those chocolate lovers - and your taste buds are just dying for a good taste of chocolate - try one of these drinks to satisfy your cravings and still adhere to your diabetic diet. Diabetes and chocolate really does not need to be a long forgotten memory just because you were diagnosed as a diabetic.

Uncommonly Good Diabetic Drink Recipes

The New Bugs Bunny Delight

  • 3 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 2 large carrots, cut into slivers
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fat free plain yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed ice

Place the pineapple juice and carrots in blender and liquefy. Add the rest of the ingredients and pulse until totally blended. Serve immediately.

Yummy Orange Frosty

  • 2 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 drop liquid stevia
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice

Combine all ingredients in the blender and mix until smooth. Serve immediately.

Frosty Strawberry Delight

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups fresh ripe strawberries, stemmed
  • 8 oz container vanilla fat free frozen yogurt
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1/2 cup sugarfree red soda ( strawberry or cherry flavor)
  • 1 drop liquid stevia

Combine the first three ingredients in blender until smooth. Slowly stir in the red soda. Serve immediately.

    Banana Fruit Frost

    Ingredients

    • 1 ripe banana, mashed
    • 3/4 cup non-dairy creamer
    • 3/4 cup ice water
    • 1 tsp. all fruit jelly or jam, flavor of your choice
    • 2 T. instant sugarfree lemon pudding

Add all ingredients to blender and mix until smooth. Let stand one minute for pudding to thicken.

And probably the easiest of all diabetic drink recipes starts with good old tap water from your kitchen faucet with an installed filtering system to offer good "new" tap water. Add your favorites such as a splash of fresh fruit (microwave your fresh fruit for 15 seconds first , it yields twice as much fresh juice by using this simple trick), mashed or your favorite tea or coffee blend.

So if you happen to be missing a few ingredients or am just short on time, try some of these quick ideas above for a new version of a safe diabetic drink which you can add to your future drinks wish list also.
