Farmhouse Pork Sausage Ring
Farmhouse pork sausage ring is dressy enough to serve when you have company but delicious enough the whole family is not going to wait for that special occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cup finely crushed saltine crackers
- 1 cup finely chopped apple
- 2 lbs. bulk pork sausage
- extra eggs to prepare scrambled eggs for garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 6 cup ovenproof ring mold.
In a large bowl beat the 2 eggs and milk. Stir in cracker crumbs, apple and sausage, mix well. Place in 6 cup ring mold and pat into sides and bottom till smoothed out.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes. Drain any juices on top and then unmold onto a serving platter. Fill center hole with prepared scrambled eggs. Makes 10-12 servings.
