My Research On Food Allergies

by Eli
(Franklin, NJ USA)

After some reading on this subject I figured that any food allergy comes down to one of two basic reasons:

1. An insufficient amount of good and healthy digestive flora (probiotics) in our body.

2. An insufficient amount of the right digestive enzymes in our digestive system.

Most people like to blame their genetics for having either one or both of these reasons. I think we should respect our parents and never blame them for anything – they did the best they could raising us, no matter what we think or feel.

Our science supports this way of thinking – no research ever claims that we depend on our genetics by more than 35% of our body and mind features. This is encouraging and leaves us with at least 65% of space to look for other reasons and real solutions.

These 65% direct us mostly towards our lifestyle habits and mainly our diet choices.

If you think I am ignoring the air, water and food pollution linked to our body intoxication, it is not so – but they also fall at least in part under our lifestyle choices.

Probiotics.

Trying to resolve any digestive system problems, including food allergies, we need to accept that not only “we are what we eat”, but also what we digest and our digestive system CAN absorb.

If our bodies can’t break down and absorb any of the preferably good food efficiently, the effects can go much further than just occasional abdominal discomfort – we can experience various food allergies and our entire health might be severely affected.

Good intestinal digestive flora, which is called probiotics, should generally include the following types of bacteria:

* Lactobacillus
* Bifidobacterium and
* Acidophilus

These types, among other functions, can also fight bad (pathogenic) bacteria in our bodies.

Any poisoning or chemicals in our food or drinking water can hurt our intestinal flora, reducing it in both - amount and quality. This definitely includes preservatives, MSG and other chemicals in most processed foods.

This is where our lifestyle choices become very important.

Using clean water from a good reverse osmosis filtered water only, avoiding any plastic bottled water - leeching bisphenol-A among other chemicals, and avoiding any processed foods would be a great step on saving and improving our existing good flora.

If you are not experienced cooking at home, there are enough sites with great recipes for a quick learning.

All the above types of probiotics are available in health food stores. Look for at least a few billions in each capsule and requiring refrigeration for storage. There are also specific probiotics containing foods – research, find and use them.

Avoid using any prescription antibiotics - the worst enemies of probiotics. They are known for not discriminating and killing not only illness creating foreign bacteria but also ALL good types, which we need to keep healthy digestion.

There are very powerful natural alternatives to antibiotics, like colloidal silver and others.

Enzymes.

No matter how healthy is our food, if we don’t have the following types of enzymes in our digestive system, it will perform very far from its best ability:

* Lipases - to break down fat
* Amylases -- to break down large carbohydrate chains and starches
* Proteases (also called proteolytic enzymes) - to break down proteins in our food

Our ancestors didn’t cook as much as we do, so they were getting enough enzymes from their raw food.

For most of us eating more raw food doesn’t look very appealing. We need to use supplements, which are available in any good health store. Ask for above types, adjusting their consumption according to a type of a diet you prefer to put on your table.

And still - don’t underestimate consuming as much raw food as possible – especially vegetables, fruits and raw milk if it is allowed in your region – it will also help to upgrade and keep your digestive flora in better shape, in addition to providing a good enzymes supply.

Having both – probiotics and enzymes in abundant amounts and quality in our digestive system can ease or eliminate our struggle with ANY food allergies, in addition to a better ingestion and more efficient supply of nutrition to our body, dramatically improving our overall health.

There is another useful advice from the best holistic doctors –

After taking care of the above basic components of a healthy digestion for a good period of time, completely (100%) eliminate a specific allergen you are struggling with – for at least 6 weeks.

Holistic doctors are suggesting that after this period of time any kind of allergy disappears completely and forever!

It doesn’t have to be a whole life struggle! Go for it, keep positive thinking and carefully, persistently and even stubbornly avoid negative people around yourself!!!

To your good health,
Eli

First, one suggestion.

Eli made a good point about the tradition of doing your own cooking. Current lifestyle changes have grown an entire generation of people which absolutely do not know how to cook. Unfortunately, this leads to another and another generation as it has always been the tradition of mother teaching daughter or son the basics of cooking.

Do not let this crack in tradition stop you from realizing your true potential in the kitchen. There is so many other ways to learn how to cook easily and conveniently.

Check locally around your home. Many churches, food agencies, women's clubs, vocational schools, senior centers etc. often offer training courses in food preparation. Learn from the master's, the grandmothers or stay at home Mom's. These are the people that have perfected their "occupation" of cooking until many no longer ever rely on a recipe. Give them an assortment of foods and they can put together a truly nutritious and satisfying meal.

It is always recommended with any food allergy to learn to cook everything from scratch for your health and safety. Take this small important step in your local area and it will help you to reap the rewards of better future health.
