Natural Ways To Lower Blood Pressure

To Prevent The
Early Symptoms Of Diabetes

If you are currently looking for natural ways to lower blood pressure, there is a great possibility your doctor has just mentioned it may be time for one more pill. But you can often reverse this trend right from your own home and eliminate many of the early symptoms of diabetes by adding some of the following easy suggestions:

  • learn to love fresh garlic in your cooking and use it often

  • add a good quality quercertin supplement to your daily program or add some foods which are high in quercertin naturally. These include red grapes, an apple with its skin intact, red onions or black tea.

  • limit your portions of the "white foods" (bread, pasta, white rice and potatoes plus cereals that are not from whole grains). Add some lean cuts of red meat. Red meat is abundant in the amino acid arginine which helps to dilate the blood vessels, thus allowing easier blood flow

  • squeeze on a rubber ball- it has been noted that the squeeze and grip control training exercise as one of the natural ways to lower blood pressure achieves a greater response than any actual aerobics exercise program.

  • salt your foods from now on with one part regular salt to 3 parts potassium salt (such as Nu-Salt or Morton's Salt Substitute). Clear this with your doctor though as the increased amounts of potassium may affect your other medications.

Alternatively, and even better for your health, skip the salt entirely and use the following No Salt Seasoning Mix instead:

    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 2 tsps onion powder
    • 2 tsps. ground thyme
    • 1 T. paprika
    • 2 tsps. celery seed
    • 1 tsp ground pepper
    • 1/2 tsp dry mustard powder
    • 1 T. ground lemon peel
    • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, if desired)

Combine all of the ingredients well and place in a glass jar with a closed, well-fitting lid. Use anywhere you would regular salt.

  • add weight resistance exercises to your schedule

  • add 2 tsps. of cayenne pepper to 2 T. of raw organic honey, mix, and then add 8 oz of water and bring to a boil. Allow to cool slightly and then drink when it is still warm

  • if you are a diabetic, instead of using the honey recipe above you can also just add 1 tsp. of cayenne pepper to 1/2 cup warm water and mix. Add the 8 oz. of pure fresh water, boil and drink as a hot tea

  • reduce your salt intake by changing over to herbs and spices

  • eliminate all boxed or processed foods from your diet. Learn to read the ingredient label and recognize which foods are high in salt during manufacturing and avoid those in your daily diet.

  • reduce your stress levels- get a weekly massage. Stress releases adrenaline into your system which continuously raises your blood pressure

  • do easy flex and stretch exercises daily for your arms and legs to increase blood flow

  • savor a 1 oz piece of 70% cacao dark chocolate 3X weekly (for its high antioxidant content)

  • drink a cup of fresh-brewed lime tea daily. Steep lime blossoms in a cup of hot water for 15 minutes, strain and serve.

  • many people also mention green tea, if drank 1-2 times daily helps keep their blood pressure under control. This is because green tea helps to prevent the clogging of the arteries which automatically keeps the blood flowing faster and smoother in your system.

  • reduce your intake of natural licorice in all products. Natural licorice can be found in black licorice candies, snacks, cough drops, cough syrups, beer and herbal teas. All of these reduce your body's natural potassium levels by flushing it out of your system thus raising your blood pressure

  • follow a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and low fat dairy products. It has also been proven a diet of fresh watermelon increases the arginine levels in your system which will automatically reduce your blood pressure over time.

  • use alcohol sparingly (1 drink daily for women/2 daily for men)

  • adopt a pet from your local shelter. The unconditional love a pet gives reduces your stress levels and raises your levels of care and compassion for another living being. All of this has been repeatedly proven as one of the most widely enjoyable natural ways to lower blood pressure and to be one of the most effective methods of blood pressure control in today's stress-laden world.

As you can tell this list is quite extensive and many of the suggestions for natural ways to lower blood pressure are easy to incorporate into your daily life without having to resort to some absurd treatment program. So finding ways to lower blood pressure is obviously not a problem. With time and dedication, you will be able to tell your doctor you have found your own road to recovery.
