Open Face Tuna Sandwich
For a delicious change of pace, try an open face tuna sandwich for your next brunch or special party luncheon. Or treat yourself to this lower calorie version of an ordinary kitchen staple. Ingredients- 1 (6 oz) can tuna in water, drained
- 1/4 cup fat-free mayonnaise
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp fresh ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped apple
- 2 T. chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
- 4 slices sprouted grain( if possible) bread
- 4 large tomato slices
Combine the first seven ingredients and stir well. Just before serving, stir in almonds. Serve open faced on slices of bread topped with a tomato slice.
