Strawberry Banana Slush

Any time of the year a Strawberry Banana Slush can top off a delicious meal. In season, fresh strawberries are sweet and juicy, out of season, grab a few right out of the freezer.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced (approx. 2 cups)
  • 2 cups unsweetened frozen strawberries (do not thaw)
  • 3 T. sugarfree strawberry spread, jam or jelly
  • 1 T. warm water
  • Garnish, if desired with fresh mint or strawberry slices

Place both fruits in a plastic bag and freeze until firm.

Add frozen fruits to blender or food processor container (if fruits are completely frozen wait approximately 10 minutes so they can just start to soften). Add strawberry spread and warm water. Process without plunger in top ( allows air to incorporate into finished whip so it is light and fluffy), stopping frequently to scrape down sides.

Garnish and serve immediately. Makes 5 servings.

Freeze any leftovers.
