Remember, the best rule for your safety and protection from a sulfite allergy is to always "Eat Fresh". Sulfites are actually a preservative. Therefore their frequency is always going to show up in products which must rely on shelf life, whether that is meats (only needing 1-2 days) or packaged goods which are dependent on much longer times. Sulfite free foods can easily be found at many local farmer's markets, fresh butchers or even in your backyard garden.

Have You Ever Got Caught In This Trap?

Are you an asthmatic and have problems with sulfites in the foods that you eat?

I have actually met people, my mother was one of them, that was never even told she would have this problem with sulfites.

Occasionally she would end up with a bad asthma attack and we never even knew why or what had happened.
