The itch down below
(St. Petersburg, Florida)
I first noticed the itching and burning ( no discharge or any other symptoms) for about a week before taking a trip to Jamaica. Then the itching disappeared while I was gone for the week and returned as soon as I got back home, within 24 hours, worse than before. I quickly decided it must be the toilet paper. While on vacation I had been using cheap no frills paper, at home we use Charmin. I went to the drug store and found close to the same, single roll, single ply cheap paper, as I had used on vacation, similar to gas station paper. So far the rash is clearing up. Who ever heard of this? I thought once they stopped making colored paper we wouldn't have to worry anymore about this sort of thing, apparently not. Think I'll write Charmin.

I wish I was as quick-witted as you were. I spent years changing my soap, laundry detergents, fabrics of my clothing, sanitary pads and anything and everything else I could think of.
Heaven only knows why I never attributed it to the toilet paper until I had exhausted everything else which touched my skin.
But after I figured it out too, you're right. I use the cheap stuff now too. Seemed awfully strange for a long while, because you get so used to that soft, fluffy and sweet-smelling stuff that when you go back to the coarse, thin paper it's such a let-down. But it doesn't take very long until you figure out, the rash goes away with the cheap stuff.
It's one of those products I consider is worth it's weight in gold.
Glad you found your answer!
